A great Christmas spent ; ends the year well. :)
1st up was the gift exchange with my cell group members!Had so much fun with them during candlelight service!Nat received the cutest gift!*ehem(dog hunk!haha) & I receive a huge bar of dark chocolate from Tayxi. All the girls wore dresses & the guys wore smart casual. It really sets the atmosphere, love it.You look good on that day hunks & babes! :)
Next happiest thing was a mini family gathering. We had family dinner(turkey, different kinds of sausages, chicken carbonara, pork rib) and for dessert we had durian ice- cream log cake & last but not least,e most exciting part.....Gifts exchange!GiftS! All of us had receive at least 2 gifts each!
I am a happy girl!I receive a pretty Tinkerbell necklace & unique earrings from my sis!(She remembered I wanted it since ages) Thanks Sis!Hope you like the present! It will really look good on you!
My brother received the most expensive present!2 Adidas shirts in it!:D
My parents received a practical & memorable present each, names engraved on e cups. :D
This year's Christmas message brought to me was peace, love, joy & harmony with my family members. That is the next most important thing after God.
I love gift exchange time, not because of the presents...well 15 percent perhaps when you receive something you want!...but 85 percent is from the joy of my family members' faces. That is priceless.
Happy Birthday Jesus!Thank you for such a wonderful day! :D

Marathon,A revelation

6th dec,Sunday
It was such an amazing experience.Honestly I started e real training only on Thursday(3rd dec) for abt 4- 5 km.Other days are just leisure jogging days for abt 2.5 km and it's only once/twice a
week. So, courageously I went for the Standard Chartered Marathon which I had already paid and registered few months ago.I was really worried as the 'Big day' gets near.So on Saturday night I mentally prepared myself for the worst scenario. It was quite funny,I vividly visualized myself going through the 42.195 km.I came to a conclusion that I must carry my phone with me during the run so then I could dial '995' for an ambulance to rescue me!
The day came,we started the Marathon at 5.30am.I kept looking at the distance- covered board whenever there's one to keep track of my distance. After 7km,I was amazed I still had good amount of energy to continue, that makes me happy and motivates me to go on.The first 15km was good. Then Vincent had cramps,so we walked for about 5km.Met Yong qiang halfway at the drink station,he was good to go so he went ahead first.Vincent suffered bad leg cramps so from 20km onwards I ran alone.
The 22.195km alone was indescribable.I jogged back through the long journey of east coast park and walked for 10 km at kallang area to the city. And finally jogged from the city to the finishing line. The best part and also the toughest part was the immense journey of east coast park. That is when your mind MUST be over your body.Your body will feel weak, telling you to give up.But is at this time that your willpower needs to tell your mind,''I will finished,I will do it with my best''. Thinking about what will happen after the Marathon will keep you going during the journey.
Isn't our Marathon in life just like our 'Marathon' with Christ? What is happiness to you?Not going through tough times?A problem-free life? Then you'll never grow. The most successful people, the brightest 'star' all went through very tough times.Just like a gem/gold, you got to go through a process of molding and grinding. The tougher it is,the better it is.When it is more precious, it holds a higher value. Just like what the bible says,''Whoever enters the kingdom of God must have gone through many tribulations.'' Don't mourn over your circumstances, it is part of an 'ingredient' in the recipe God intends especially for you.
In the past,I didn't understand why I had to have/go through so many problems/trials in my life. But now,I understand & I am glad. And this time on,faced it with a different attitude, different perspective. When you face problems with the right attitude, you'll find that it is easier to solve them.Anyways, problems are there for you to solve, breakthrough and conquer!
To all my loved ones & friends,
Brace up & face your problems with courage!

Interesting lady
On Monday i went for a haircut with my sis and halfway when we were settled down,a lady came in the salon. She looked like in her mid-40s and has a slim figure. She was really hyper, chatted a lot with the hairdresser. And then as she continue to speak, she proclaimed,"Praise the Lord!''
I was caught by her enthusiasm,I turned and smiled at her and she started talking to me.
Never did I expect she was actually in her 60s,going 70!And yet she looked so much younger!I asked her how did she maintain her looks, she answered beamingly,''All glory to God!''
wow,I was stunned by her excitement for God at her age.And so we continued our conversation and she shared her testimony with me.It turned out that few years ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer and needed to go through chemotherapy for number of times.
She was disheartened and prayed very hard. After she attend church service the next day,an overseas speaker who was a pastor walked up to her and said,''In the name of Jesus,You are healed!''
She was thrilled and she kept confessing the healing power over her sicknesses.
On the other hand, her son was in a cab, rushing back home to see her.And then the cab driver started talking to him about cancer/chemotherapy/benefits-the right food to eat to prevent it & improve e body etc.wow, indeed,it was a God-incident.
That explains her enthusiasm & the Zoe-life she carries,God saved her life and she had encounter Him. But well, this is just a part of what I want to share. The main part is-She is such an evangelist,I never knew anyone who reach out to the lost & spread the gospel like she does! She is a very funny person, the way she speaks & act...
(Big action)
''I was having my favourite fishball noodle and beside me was this Indonesian lady,I turned and talk to her,I talk to her and talk to her,I talk and talk, then I spread the gospel to her.I have a lot of friends,a lot from spreading the gospel. If you see me on the street, say 'Hi!!!' to Rosie, that's my name,Rosie's my name.Praise the Lord!''
She is a very cheerful,good looking,'young' grandma!If I were a non-believer,I'll accept Christ after knowing her!She's from Fcbc btw,next to ours. :)
She's quite an inspiration.I want to be as on fire when I am 70!(still looking gd!)
All glory to God! :)
